DK Mommy

Recently I was looking for a good homemade recipe for a body scrub. Today I found one on DK Mommy. Here is the recipe below. They are definitely worth trying for a baby soft feel to your skin.

How to Make Your Own Sugar Scrub

If you’re looking to save money as many of us are, you may want to try your hand at making some of your own health and beauty products at home. Not only an economical choice, homemade is oftentimes healthier. Take, for instance, this recipe for homemade sugar scrub.

Simple and versatile, all you need is about a cup of raw sugar, 1/4 cup oil such as almond (that’s my favorite), and a tablespoon of your favorite herb. You could try dried lavender to relax, rosemary to rejuvenate, or make a blend of soothing chamomile and calendula. Simply mix everything together in the container you’d like to store it in (with a tight-sealing lid) and massage into skin before a bath or shower. To make sure the mixture lasts longer without the oil going rancid, try throwing in the contents of one punctured Vitamin E tablet. Not only will it keep the oil fresh, it’ll add a little healing power to your homemade sugar scrub!
