Weight Loss Wednesdays

Weight Loss Wednesdays

Weight Loss Wednesdays are a way for us all to share our weight loss and health tips together.  I have been blessed to have found a plan that is liveable.  Not something temporary that I cannot continue once the weight has disappeared.  I have lost 60 pounds.  I feel like a new person.  A healthy, younger and more effective person.

My first tip is to keep track of your calories everyday.  Yes, you have probably heard this before and maybe even started this at one time or another.  The trick is to make it a habit that you don't even think about after a while.  I use myfitnesspal.com.  I record my weight, exercise and food intake.  This means every little thing I intake on a daily basis.

One of the items I was taking in that I did not consider was causing weight gain: fluids.  Unless you are drinking water or unsweetened tea, you are slipping in lots and lots of calories.  You ask why did I not put diet drinks under zero calorie drinks?  Well yes they have zero calories, but they have fake sweeteners that cause you to crave more sweet things.  Plus, they are just not good for you.

Does this mean that I never let sugar slip in now and again?  No way!!!  I love sugar!!!!!  But as I will share next week, I did not have sugar for the first few months of my diet.

Back to the topic at hand.  If you are just starting, trying to lose the last few pounds or just want to be healthier, myfitnesspal.com is a really good start.  Sign up for it today (it is free) and let me know.  We can buddy up and support one another.  There is nothing greater than accountability and support.

Next week:  Removing sugar and why.
